Reporting a bug

The three things that make a bug fixable: what you were doing, what happened instead, and your phone model. A screenshot beats all three. If the game closed on its own, say roughly how far into the run it was. The late game and the first ten seconds fail in different ways.

Common questions

My scores are gone.

Your best score, run count, total time and unlocked brushes live on the device rather than in an account, which is what lets the game work with no sign-up. They don't survive uninstalling the app, clearing its storage, or moving to a new phone. If that's happened they can't be recovered, and that's a real cost of the no-account design rather than a fault.

How do I compare scores with a friend?

Each of you makes an invite code in the app and gives it to the other. Nothing is shared until you both do. There's no search, no suggestions, and no way for a stranger to find you.

How do I delete my data?

Email us with the invite code shown in the app. It is the only handle we have on your record. Deleting the record removes every score and every friendship attached to it at the same time. Details are in the privacy policy.

Are there ads or in-app purchases?

There are no ads, and there never will be. At launch there are no purchases of any kind either. If a paid extra is ever added it'll be a one-off set of brushes, never a shortcut past anything you'd otherwise earn, and never the music.

Will there be an iOS version?

Planned, not promised. Android came first because it is what the game was built and tested on.

The game runs badly on my phone.

Tell us the model. Inkline aims at 60 frames a second on ordinary hardware and draws no heavy effects, so a phone that struggles with it is worth knowing about.

What this mailbox is not

There's no account to recover, no password to reset and no purchase to restore, because none of those things exist. If you get a message saying otherwise and asking you to sign in, it isn't from us.
